There are so many CSR initiatives that Rimi Flora has partaken in but none has attracted more hearts than Easter Healing Bouquet April 2026.
(For those who are new here, Healing Bouquet is a Rimi Flora initiative dedicated to cultivating a flower-giving culture in Kenya, with a special focus on spreading love and cheer to those who need it most.)
It was a beautiful Easter Friday morning, with a heart full of gratitude and empathy, Rimi Flora together with Imani Flower made their way to Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) for a small holiday CSR just to spread a little love.
Geared up with their well arranged bouquets with the assistance of the kindest KNH staff, they spent an hour at the oncology clinic shaking hands, listening to short patient stories and sharing words of encouragement with them.
Being a holiday, most patients were in the company of their families and many were moved to learn that we had chosen to spend part of our holiday with them, and not with our families. Hugs were shared, laughter and excitement with those who were preparing to be discharged and words of encouragement were shared with those really struggling with their illness.
Overall, it was a humbling experience. There is something that breaks open in you when you spend time with ailing people, and it is replaced with contentment. In that moment, the world gets larger than you. You stop focusing on small problems like a colleague borrowed your favourite pen then lost it, or you could not tie your hair right that morning. There is so much in life to smile about. The sun rose this morning, a random friend remembered your existence and gave you a call. You passed a mirror and realised that you look snatched today. There is so much beauty in this universe and it is pointless to focus on the two things that did not go your way. Smile a little wider today.
Our Easter Friday was such a roller coaster of emotions. We wouldn’t have spent our Easter Friday in any other way.
We have you in our hearts and prayers.
